Fans of the award-winning mobile masterpiece Jetpack Joyride are in for some serious Christmas cheer as the game’s biggest update of all time hits the App Store worldwide today, with Android updates coming next week.
At Legitimate Research HQ, one special scientist has been working around the clock to deliver the gigantic Strong Arm Machine – known around the office as S.A.M. This colossal mech is designed for two purposes – blocking missiles and giving totally boss high-fives.
Players can activate S.A.M. once per day by collecting three flying tokens. Every day the player returns to activate S.A.M. they will receive a new in-game reward, and on the fifth day are gifted one of 32 brand new costume pieces to style Barry with more bling! Halfbrick is also proud to release the animated story behind the creation of S.A.M., now available to watch on Youtube.
‘Tis the season for rocket-powered robotic reindeer! Jump in to the Sleigh of Awesome, another new vehicle created by the young, supple scientists at Legitimate Research. This is a seasonal item only, and players must unlock it exclusively during the holiday period. After that, it’s gone!
S.A.M. and the Sleigh of Awesome emphasise everything that kicks ass about Jetpack Joyride – explosions, sweet new gadgets, new styles for Barry and cool stuff to unlock in The Stash.
The update is available to download on the App Store now, with Android platforms receiving the content next week. All new players can also download the game on iOS or Android for free.
